Is the currency in Bulgaria still the Lev? How much in english pounds does a drink cost - pint, short, glass of wine?

Whats the cost of a meal in a restaurant, and whats the standard?

Thinking of booking next year but hear different experiences.

Most bars its happy hour after 6pm, cost 50p a pint, £1 short, £10 for a good steak and £4 bottle wine, definitely recommended but go before mid sept or it starts to shut down.
